My Craft

Having had a life long love of art I graduated from Newcastle University with a Fine Art degree in 2014 and have now combined this with my love of traditional crafts. I am currently focusing on working with sustainable materials, using traditional techniques, and applying a contemporary twist. At the moment I am enjoying experimenting with willow, textiles, book making and various printing techniques to make a range of both functional and aesthetic items.

Willow

Using traditional basketry skills I make both functional and decorative woven objects for the home and garden.

Textiles

Utilising free motion embroidery, wet and dry felting, appliqué work and recycled material I create a range of aesthetic and functional items.

Handmade Books

My books contain lovely handmade paper to record your thoughts and ideas. Each one is uniquely bound with beautiful end papers and tactile covers.

Art

I have developed a creative practice that is focused on different forms of printing and drawing.

Commissions

Beyond the products and services on the website I am also happy to take commissions for a bespoke service.

Pieces of work - if you see something on the website that you like but would want it tweaking to fit you’re requirements or if you have something specific in mind I’m happy to explore possibilities and develop you’re ideas.

Run workshops - although I mainly run workshops from my studio in Stocksfield, Northumberland I am happy to travel across the North of England and the Scottish Borders to deliver workshops at your location.

Talks & demonstrations - I regularly give talks and demonstrations to groups and at festivals. I can tailor a talk or demonstration to meet the interest of your audience.

Attend events - throughout the year I attend a range of events to both exhibit and sell my work. If you would like me to come to an event you are planning please let me know.

Work with individuals, groups and schools - I have experience of working with groups of different abilities and ages and can tailor a programme of activity to meet your needs.
